hi, it’s hmsdavid here again and on this post, I will be showcasing my best work from trimester one with my four best workpieces. So first I want to talk about my Math project Marine Debris with chloe. So we basically just researched a lot added lots of information made sure everything made sense and correct, and presented it and got an A. I think this was my best work for math because I usually never do work this good and almost never get an A on it but this time I did and I was proud of me and my partner.

Next the Social Studies skit of the Hawaiians. So this project was about doing either a poem, skit, song, or rap about a certain point in the Hawaiians life. And I chose this as my best work for this class because My partner Ino, and I were absent for a couple of days and had little time to work on it and amazingly we got a B on it.

For my third piece of work is from Japanese class and it is the student skype one with the Keai students from Japan. And this one was just to Skype with the students and ask them questions, and then they ask you some questions. I am proud of this because I felt like I did pretty well speaking to them for the first time because I am usually shy when I talk to someone new but after I got to know them after a while I was fine.

For my fourth and final one, This work is from Drama class it was a test on standard vocab words. And I chose this one as my final one because I failed the first one and on the retake, I got an A from studying very hard. And that is all for my trimester one portfolio. See ya later.

hi, its hmsdavid here again and for this week’s challenge, I am going to do a book review. My book I am going to review is called Hawaii’s Kolea, by Oscar W. Jhonson and Susan Scott. So this book is about the Kolea/ or also known as Pacific Golden Plover a native migratory bird in Hawaii. It talks about all kinds of things its behavior, migration patterns, plumage, habitat, and diet, and many other things.  The character the plover is very different from me because one thing it has feathers and us human don’t have feathers. Did you guys read this book yet?

Hi, its hmsdavid and on this post, I am going to write out a story from my emoji prompt from Task 1.

So here is my story. One day I didn’t drink any water because I had a basketball game. I was feeling kind of sick so I asked my coach if I could get some water. Then I was held up because there was a crosswalk to the water fountain and the birds in the street were holding everything up. Finally, I got to the water fountain, and when I tried to get back there was a no cross sign. So I tried to go the way that was a little more dangerous and I got stung by a honey bee. It hurt a lot so I kissed by booboo, and my coach heard all the comotion and came to help me. And after that I went back to the gym to finish the game. THE END.

Hi, it’s hmsdavid and it’s been a while since I have last posted So I am going to talk about the theme of my blog for this year basically my message. Since it has been a very long time first of my theme on this blog will mainly be about what’s going on in life, interesting things that happen with my pets, and those sorts of things. But this year I mainly want to focus on as much as possible my pet updates. I want to focus on that because there have been lots of interesting and new things since last school year.

For example, I was rehabilitating a bird after hurricane lane hit Oahu. I found him after lots of rain and some wind, and when I got him I immediately came up with a name of bulbro.  Since he was so tiny and able to take care of himself yet I decided to care for him for a couple of months until he was able to care for himself. And about a month later I released him and he joined with a flock of his own kind, and he is doing good, and still visits me often.

For this last paragraph, I wanted to tell you guys about another topic I wanted to focus on which was about my fish updates. I wanted to focus on this subject because my fish have had lots of new things happen too. For instance, my betta fish recently had lots of babies and my tilapia once again have had babies again. So basically this is my theme for this year and make sure to check out the posts. Until next post.

Hi, it’s hmsdavid and in this post, I am going to show you what I did for Flipboard 3. Enjoy.

So for the first blog I visited was A person named Carny Crew for saya and in her blog, I read and commented on the post called Sharks, Crocodiles, spotted feasting on a whale in rare drone video. And this post was about these predators all feeding on a whale carcass a mile off the coast of Western Australia and all this was captured on camera by a drone. And I chose this post because I like animals and this title and story caught my eye and was very interesting to me so that is why I chose this post to read and comment on. And the comment I left was Great job on the post I can say this was a very rare thing for someone to experience on a drone many dominate predators feeding at once. Keep up the good work. Hmsdavid.

Next, I visited a person named Cameron 24 and in his blog, I read and commented on a post called Basketball. And this post was about Cameron wanting to be like one of the famous NBA players in the future and he also shared about his basketball tournament. I chose this post because I like basketball a lot and always am open to learning about other peoples successes and stories to hopefully become a future star. And the comment I left on his post was Hi, its hmsdavid and I wanted to say this post is very well done and I hope for the best for you and basketball in the future I am looking forward to seeing you succeed. Lastly, I visited a person named Quin’s blog and in his blog, I read and commented on a post called Tennis Camp. And this post was about him going to UNC tennis camp for one week and his fun time there and how he got to practice tennis and how he got better at the sport. I chose this post because I love to play tennis like my mom and always am wanting to be like her and love inspiration from other people it keeps me going. And the comment I left was Hi, it’s hmsdavid thanks for the inspration and tipe to become a better tennis player and great job on the post keep up the good work . Hmsdavid.

Hi, it’s hmsdavid and in this post, I wanted to share some Exciting news on my most recent birdwatching day.

This past weekend I was doing my usual watching birds taking pictures of them like I always do. So since birds nest around this time Spring/ almost Summer time I go to places, climb trees and watch the birds behaviors. I have found a few nesting birds so far like the normal Zebra Doves, Myna birds, and finches. But I don’t usually find this bird nesting around my neighborhood.

This bird is called the Japanese White Eye. I was climbing into my neighbor’s Mango tree to relax and sit down, and when I was looking around the tree I saw some white cotton from the Cotton tree around the block. I went to get a closer look at the cotton and I saw that It was a Japanese White Eye nest. At the time they were still building their nest.

I kept keeping track of the nest and taking pictures of it then one day I came back to check on the progress of the nest then saw that a chick hatched. I was very excited because usually the nest’s are very weak to the weather, and wind because they are made from cotton and this one made it. I went up the tree recently to get a photo of the newborn chick to keep track of its growth and saw more eggs inside the nest. So I am ready to see more babies in the nest and see them grow up.
